Halloween Bash was awesome!!!! Had a great time with friends, sang, laughed, partied....and I got to go with Rusty woohoo...I'm really becoming quite fond of this man....I think I wanna steal him hehehe. Jen & Daz were great hosts and loved the crowd, big turnout. Rusty and I won 2nd place for best costume in our individual catagories. ( Major Slutt and Dr. D. Pathroat) It was Rusty's and my other friends first Halloween Dress Up Party (can you believe it) Can't wait till Christmas, gonna spend some time in Adalaide and it's summer a totally whole new experience for me as a girl from the Midwest in America where snow and ice are rampant! Not missing that for sure. Keep posted and I'll have some more adventures to report.

A Shout Out!!!

I've been having an awesome time here in Australia but there are a few people I wanna give a shout out to in America who I am missin so very much! My brother Brian whom I love so much and without his assistance I couldn't take care of things as well with my continued American obligations. My sisters and my nieces and nephews. I also wanna make a shout out to My Miss Mollye, I love her so much and she helped me through alot of things and was always supportive of my travels to Australia...If I could've I would have brought her with me.  I will never forget her kindness and how she was always there for me, she was the big sister I never had. I love you Miss Mollye. Mama D my spunky, straight talkin, no nonsense adopted Mama (since my mom passed I've acquired quite a few adopted mothers, I need all the help I can get LOL) she always gave it to me straight and was very protective of me and I will always remember her for everything she did for me. She even bought me my outfit I wore on the plane to Australia she wanted to be sure I arrived in style! Never was much of a girlie girl and she helped to start molding me into one tooth and nail LOL. Anita was another great friend who was an awesome supervisor and always had a smile and i adore her as well...I wish her nothing but happiness. Without these individuals in my life I'm not sure I would've been able to follow my dreams and have the time of my life. Thank you, all of you and I hold all of you dear in my heart forever and always and I will always remember you.

Damn It's Hot!!!!!

Well I am finally getting my first taste of an Australian summer.....whew!  I have had friends tell me of these dreaded summers and terrible rumors of how hot and miserable they can be and if this is just the beginning I am in big trouble. I'm sure my Aussie friends will get a kick out of my realization lol.

Hello Mates!

Sorry it has taken so long for me to get this blog together and to upload pics but I'm still learning and I have a magnificent friend who is helping me so it should come together soon. I would like to start giving you the perspective of Australia as I saw Her on my first day and the adventures that have followed. I wanna give a shout out to my Best Friend Jen for being so awesome and welcoming me with open arms and My good Mate Daz who has allowed me to stay with him for a few months before i headed to Gwandalan to stay with my awesome adopted mum Diane and her hubby Gaz. I also would like to mentioned that I  have some wishful thinking of a possible romance. If I'm lucky hehe. Rusty who is Di and Gaz's assistant in karaoke has caught my eye and I think he likes me too. I've been talking to him for a few months now and we've had dinner and he's showed me around a bit and we hang out from time to time,  there is something about him that is just so familiar. He is so easy to talk to and we like so much of the same things. I hope that things will blossom and we can get even closer. I have grown very fond of the karaoke scene and feel very lucky to have met the people who attend. I am anticipating my trip to Adalaide and can't wait to see my friends there and if I'm lucky perhaps I can have a special fella join me..wink wink. Well before I close I wanna thank again the wonderful friends I've known and have met here and I cannot say enough of the warm welcomes and making me feel at home here. Thank You Di and Gaz for taking me in, Thank You Jen and Daz for being such good friends and Thank You Rusty for being such a sweet guy. Until next time Cheers!

Karaoke Hot Spots

Karaoke I find is very big here in Australia and there are a couple of karaoke shows  that I have grown quite fond of. I love to sing and who doesn't want to feel like a star every once in awhile. Every Friday night I enjoy the talents at Chatswood RSL. Rising Star Karaoke is a fabulous company owned by Gary and Di Obbard and they have a magnificent assistant named Rusty who put on a great show. Gary and Rusty do an awesome job of showing the guest a good time and making them feel like superstars. Another great show is Wicked Ajendaz that's put on by Jen and Daz who appear at The Grey Gums Hotel every Saturday night. So if you are looking for a good time and wanna be a superstar for a night I highly recommend these two shows and bring your friends! You can find Chatswood  RSL in Chatswood, NSW and you can find Grey Gums near Penrith, NSW.  Have Fun!!!

Beautiful Aussie Afternoon

Well as I said I'm trying to gather all I have to put on my blog. I wanna be sure to start from the beginning...seeing Australia the way I did for the first time and the continued amazement and beauty she offers. I have made wonderful friends here and even have been lucky enough to have been adopted by two wonderful women who I have decided to call mum. Since loosing my mom about 8 years ago I feel very lucky to have two now:) I am trying to organize and post all my pics that I have taken so far and have many more to come. My future adventures will take me to Adelaide for Christmas in the summer which is new considering I am use to 5 to 6 inches of snow, ice and zero below winds at Christmas time. I am very excited, along with the holiday celebrations, I will get the opportunity to see the actual Outback! Another adventure I will be experiencing will be driving on the left side of the road. That will be an adventure on it's own I assure you! So keep coming by for a visit and I will have more and more things to share. Keep an eye out for my various discoveries of foods I have grown to love here and ones I'm unable to obtain that I miss from America but have found substitutions for and have even discovered that Australians may just know them by different names. So keep stopping by and I look forward to any comments.
